e4c _new title
swangsongs
goes to urban space is no longer the title for the video piece i've been working on since Oct 08. This piece became another piece - during the duration of its development. and "goes to urban space" is no longer appropriate. - although I am still very much interested in the original "title" as a space for future works involving video and the environment.

2008-presently I have begun to experiment with a digital camera on balloons
11.13.08 a large flock of swans tooks off from a small field. They were startled by a truck, the flew into power lines and took them down. 2 swans dead, this one alive-maybe stunned.wow what a sight. I hope to go back to this site and fly my bslloons from fences near the church next to the field. swan1 swan2

Flying the DV mini cam
OK - its different than the 1st time I looked into making an ariel photograhic contraption. techology has come a VERY LONG WAY in the last 5 years. this is fortunate for me.I realized today while flying the balloons how much this process appeals to the imaginary place in my thoughts. to see the colored shadow of the balloons in the earth, or to see my shadow with hand raised, i barely recognize it as myself but more a observing a 'character' of myself.
